Compassion
Social Service project “ TheCompassion – Changing the life of underprivileged children through education” is a social service project of GLF with sole objective of supporting and focusing on underprivileged children education and also community development. It is strongly believed that education is a fundamental base line in the development of each and every individual and subsequently enhancing the life standard in qualitative terms. Therefore the main focus of this project is on comprehensive development of underprivileged children by addressing the educational deprivation among the underprivileged and marginalised communities.
Vision: Ensuring development of underprivileged children by providing support for education.
Mission: To have a strong and dedicated focus to develop their knowledge and experience to cultivate self-reliance in them by providing an accessible and welcoming environment.
Funding Sources for the Project
The GLF is funded through the following sources:
- compulsory monthly contribution from members.
- voluntary donations.
- Fund raising and donations from well-wishers as well as development of project proposals for specific donor attention and support.
Planned Activities
- Making arrangements for
- Providing assistance to under privilege children
- Providing Health Care assistance.
- Providing vocational training to the children in the schools.
- Providing basic educational materials including stationary, books, school uniform, school bags and also clothes, footwear, eatables etc.
- To make arrangements for Mobile-Learning Centre with Audio/Visual system and computers to provide basic literacy through visual method. It will further be used for Vocational Training.
- Construction of Schools in isolated area
- Starting of library with old/ new books
