Virtual Centre for Advanced Research and Development (VCARD) – Facilitating Unit

Today, across the world, virtual mode of teaching/learning has evolved as an alternate system making education more accessible to the learner at affordable cost. The revolutionary changes in electronic media and ICTs contributed to further development of the system and paved way to multimedia instruction using e-materials and through extensive use of internet. The use of computer networks also speed up communications to facilitate group work within the virtual network. The VCARD is a facilitating unit of GLF to provide support to the needs of the researchers who otherwise cannot avail full support from the regular mode of guidance and supervision in the completion of their research work. The Centre is also be committed to mobilize resources and equip itself with a team of experts and materials of excellence thereby ensuring that it becomes pivotal center of service to industry , academia, and society through the use of advanced technology.

Mission

To make available quality guidance/supervision to the needs of the researchers, who otherwise cannot afford to spend much time in their parent institution to complete their research project or willing to avail additional support for their research work?

Objectives

  • To provide quality academic support/supervision to researchers via virtual mode.
  • To conduct virtual workshops, seminars and research in interdisciplinary fields.
  • To contribute to the cause of lifelong learning by providing support without barriers of age and gender.
  • To provide opportunity to many female researchers who are unable to continue their research work due to time and distance constraints.
  • To augment the research capability of many institutions and industries through collaboration,
